The Importance of Prayer

Prayer is Important

Prayer is an important part of your life. It is talking with God like a friend. In Elissa the Curious Snail, we see Elissa’s setting an example of praying. She is talking to God and asking for help with getting to the tree. God sends a squirrel and a tabby cat to try and help her. But Elissa does not see them as help, so she hides. Then He sends a blackbird that helps her to get to the tree. God answered Elissa’s prayer. When we pray to God, we need to know that He is going to help us. We do not know how He is going to help us, but we know He promises that He hears us.

Remember to Pray

We need to be reminded that we should pray. These reminders can come from anywhere. They can come from our Sunday School teacher, our parents, a good friend, or in a cloud in the sky. I was driving through Texas this week, and I saw this cloud. It made me think of a child praying. Maybe a child like you. Even us adults need to pray every day. We pray for God to help us be good parents, good workers at our job, and good Christians to those we meet each day.

Be a Pray-er

You can be a good prayer like Elissa. There is no need to small for God. You can pray for a sick family member or friend, you can pray that you do well on a spelling test, or you can pray that you find a lost toy. God cares about it all. God cares about you.

“Thank you, Lord, for the children who are reading this blog and about Elissa. Bless each one of them and give them the answers to the prayers that they have. In Jesus name, Amen.”
